Selling a car privately in Auckland is not a fun experience. That's why we are glad that we chose to sell the car with the help of Dan and Andrew instead. Smooth meeting and quick transaction. The price ended up a bit lower than we had hoped, but it was well worth it to avoid the stress. We should have just gone with them straight away instead of trying the trade me/marketplace bs.

It was great meeting with Dan and Andrew at Sell my Car. They were thorough professionals, jolly and meticulous about their work. I highly recommend anyone considering selling/trading in or even just to have a chat about their vehicles and considering new options to walk in and give these guys a hi. It is quick and easy to sell your vehicle. On average it only takes 48 hours from the moment you get in touch through to the sale of your vehicle.
When you sell your vehicle with Sell My Car there are two forms we must complete. The first is called a Change of Ownership agreement. This is for NZTA (New Zealand Transport Agency) records. It is simply to let them know that the vehicle is no longer going to be registered in your name. The other form is a Sales Agreement between the seller (you) and the buyer (Sell My Car). We’ll fill out all the paperwork for you and give you a copy. We will also need a copy of your driver licence to complete the paperwork. *Please note that this is slightly different from what is required if you sell your vehicle privately where you will need to complete a Sold / Dispose of your vehicle form which is known as a MR13A. The person that you are selling to (the buyer) will need to complete a Notice of Change of Ownership of a Motor Vehicle known as a MR13B.
We purchase running vehicles that are currently registered and have a Warrant of Fitness.

This helps to keep conversations transparent from the start which is best for both parties. We will request your driver license number to do this and can conduct this while we have you on the phone. We will also conduct an in-person inspection on your vehicle which includes taking it for a short test drive of between 10-15 minutes. We will arrange a time that is convenient for you and come to a location that suits. In total, this inspection will take approximately 30 minutes. We are really just looking to see that your vehicle matches what you’ve described and there are no surprises.
We work with lots of customers who have finance owing on their vehicles. Our friendly team will guide you through the process, starting with how to get a settlement statement from your finance company. This will help us to assess if using Sell My Car is going to be a good option for you. Provided that it is, and you are happy with the price we have offered, we will move forward with the sale. From there, it is really easy – Sell My Car will pay the finance company directly and give you the balance on the spot.
The great thing about using Sell My Car is that you’ll get paid immediately via bank transfer.
